FAQ

Need help?

Navigating the maps is very slow. How can I speed things up?

Ensure the map data has been saved to your Memory Stick Duo. This will dramatically speed up playback.

I can't pick up satellites when locating my GPS position.

We recommend using the PSP system in an outdoor environment when you're locating your position. If you're on foot, stand still until you receive the GPS signal. If you're in a car, remain stationary until you receive the GPS signal (preferably not close to high buildings or in a densely built-up area).

Can I plan a route where the start point is different to my current location?

Yes. Place the cursor over your desired start location, press the 'X button' and select 'More Options'. Go to 'Set As Start' and press the 'X button' again. Routes can now be calculated using this as your start point.

Can I add other locations to my route?

Yes. First navigate to your desired location and then press the 'X button' for actions. Select 'More Options' and then 'Insert Waypoint' to add a location.

How can I find a petrol station on my route?

Press the 'X button' for 'Actions', select 'More Options' and then 'Nearby Places'.

Scroll to 'Petrol Station' and select.

To view all locations press the 'Square button' then select a petrol station from the list.

To view all petrol stations on the map you need to enable them. All icons are set as off by default to keep the map clean. To enable specific places from the main menu, select 'My Data' then 'Places', then select for example 'Petrol Station', press the 'Square button' to toggle 'Visibility Distance'.

How do I add a location to 'My Favourites'?

When exploring the map, navigate to your desired location. Press the 'X button' to enable the 'Actions' menu, select 'Save As Favourite'. Select an empty slot and name you favourite location.

When I am in the 3D view I cannot see the buildings? Why is this?

It could be that your building visibility setting is off. To change this, go to 'Settings' in the main menu. Select 'Visual' and then '3D Settings'. In building visibility use the 'X button' to toggle through the options.

Remember: Not all major cities include full 3D building support. Additional map data will be made available through PLAYSTATION®Store (PC) soon.

My route summary is in miles. How can I change this to kilometres?

From the main menu go to 'Settings' then 'Regional'. Now select units and use the 'X button' to toggle through the options.

Can Go!Explore tell me what the speed limit is while driving?

Yes. From the main menu go to 'Settings' then 'Warnings'. To toggle 'Speed Limit Warnings' on or off, use the 'X button'. You can also set the 'Speeding Tolerance' by using the 'left and right directional buttons'.

How can I lock the PSP while I'm driving?

You can set the PSP system to a safe mode where you cannot operate the screen while the car is in motion. To do this, from the main menu go to 'Settings' then 'Warnings' and select 'Safety Mode'.

I want to walk somewhere, but when I plan a route Go!Explore ignores parks and pedestrian areas. Why?

Go!Explore plans routes based on your method of transport. You can change this from the main menu.

Go to 'Settings', then 'Route', and in 'Transportation Mode' use the 'X button' to toggle through the options. Go!Explore will automatically turn selected features on and off. You can override this by selecting a particular feature and using the 'X button' to toggle them on or off.
