Safety advice
Go!Messenger Safety advice (including how to report offensive messages)
Here are some easy tips on how to stay safe and in control whilst using Go!Messenger:
- Keep your Go!Messenger nickname private: only share it with people who you know, and avoid posting it in online public spaces such as Forums, social networking profiles and chat rooms where anyone can view it.
- Only approve Contact Subscription requests from people you know.
- Go!Messenger allows you to reject incoming video and voice calls from anyone you don't know or are unsure about.
- During any call, you can press the 'Circle button' to hang up.
- If you do receive an offensive message from someone else, change their status in your Contacts List to "Blocked" - this will prevent them from sending you any more messages and they will be unable to see your presence updates.
