Ensure the map data has been saved to your Memory Stick Duo. This will dramatically speed up playback.
We recommend using the PSP system in an outdoor environment when you're locating your position. If you're on foot, stand still until you receive the GPS signal. If you're in a car, remain stationary until you receive the GPS signal (preferably not close to high buildings or in a densely built-up area).
Yes. Place the cursor over your desired start location, press the 'X button' and select 'More Options'. Go to 'Set As Start' and press the 'X button' again. Routes can now be calculated using this as your start point.
Yes. First navigate to your desired location and then press the 'X button' for actions. Select 'More Options' and then 'Insert Waypoint' to add a location.
Press the 'X button' for 'Actions', select 'More Options' and then 'Nearby Places'.

To view all locations press the 'Square button' then select a petrol station from the list.
To view all petrol stations on the map you need to enable them. All icons are set as off by default to keep the map clean. To enable specific places from the main menu, select 'My Data' then 'Places', then select for example 'Petrol Station', press the 'Square button' to toggle 'Visibility Distance'.
When exploring the map, navigate to your desired location. Press the 'X button' to enable the 'Actions' menu, select 'Save As Favourite'. Select an empty slot and name you favourite location.
It could be that your building visibility setting is off. To change this, go to 'Settings' in the main menu. Select 'Visual' and then '3D Settings'. In building visibility use the 'X button' to toggle through the options.
Remember: Not all major cities include full 3D building support. Additional map data will be made available through PLAYSTATION®Store (PC) soon.
From the main menu go to 'Settings' then 'Regional'. Now select units and use the 'X button' to toggle through the options.
Yes. From the main menu go to 'Settings' then 'Warnings'. To toggle 'Speed Limit Warnings' on or off, use the 'X button'. You can also set the 'Speeding Tolerance' by using the 'left and right directional buttons'.
You can set the PSP system to a safe mode where you cannot operate the screen while the car is in motion. To do this, from the main menu go to 'Settings' then 'Warnings' and select 'Safety Mode'.
Go!Explore plans routes based on your method of transport. You can change this from the main menu.
Go to 'Settings', then 'Route', and in 'Transportation Mode' use the 'X button' to toggle through the options. Go!Explore will automatically turn selected features on and off. You can override this by selecting a particular feature and using the 'X button' to toggle them on or off.
